This horse from the Camargues region of southern France is one of the oldest breeds of wild horsein the world. They are hardy souls, thriving in the marshland of the Rhone Delta. This photograph was taken contra-jour using the setting sun to creating a nice backlit effect as the horse swishes its tail to fight off the marauding mosquitos that terrorise horses and photographers alike in the wonderful part of Europe. |
